Machining and Tolerance
For precision machining, specify cold-drawn or centerless-ground bar with h11/h9 tolerance. 303 and 416 (not stainless but similar) machine fastest; 316 is tougher and needs sharp tooling and proper speeds. 316 sheet and bar are often paired in the same fabrication.
