Short answer: HXSCO supplies Monel — the nickel-copper alloy family led by 400 (corrosion-resistant, work-hardenable) and K-500 (age-hardened for strength plus corrosion resistance) — for seawater, chemical and high-temperature service where stainless simply will not survive.

Why Monel
Monel is roughly two-thirds nickel and one-third copper, with small iron and manganese. That balance gives it outstanding resistance to seawater, brackish water, hydrofluoric and sulphuric acid, and it stays strong and tough from cryogenic temperatures up to about 480 °C. It sits beside our Nickel Alloy Supplier family and the Inconel Vs Monel comparison, and it is the upgrade path when Stainless Steel 316 Properties или Duplex Stainless Steel Guide grades are still attacked. Because Monel is non-magnetic and resists biofouling, it is a staple for marine and desalination duty.
Grades We Stock
Monel 400 (N04400) is the workhorse — annealed for forming or hot-worked (HW) for higher strength, used for valve bodies, pump and propeller shafts, and heat-exchanger tubing. Monel K-500 (N05500) adds aluminium and titanium and is age-hardened to roughly double the strength of 400 while keeping its corrosion resistance — the choice for drill collars, valve trim, springs and fasteners. R-405 is the free-machining variant for screws and commutators. The full nickel landscape is cross-referenced in Monel 400 Guide.
Processing & Quality
Monel is supplied as plate, sheet, bar, rod, wire, pipe and forged block, cut and machined to drawing — our Cnc Machining Supplier и Forging Supplier programmes finish K-500 and 400 parts to print. It work-hardens under cutting, so carbide tooling and rigid setups are recommended; welding uses Monel 60/190 filler. Every lot ships with a mill certificate per our Mill Test Certificate Guide, and corrosion planning for mixed-metal assemblies is in Galvanic Corrosion Guide.

Monel is used for seawater and chemical service — marine hardware, pump and valve components, heat-exchanger tubing, and fasteners — where its nickel-copper mix resists corrosion that attacks stainless steel.
Monel 400 is the corrosion-resistant, work-hardenable grade; K-500 is age-hardened to about twice the strength while keeping 400’s corrosion resistance, used for shafts, springs and valve trim.
In its age-hardened K-500 condition Monel is considerably stronger than 316 stainless and far more corrosion-resistant in seawater; 400 is comparable in strength but superior in corrosion.
Yes. HXSCO supplies Monel 400 and K-500 plate, bar, rod, wire and forgings with mill certificates and machining or forging to drawing.
