Copper-Nickel Supplier – CuNi 90/10 & 70/30 Tube, Pipe & Plate

Copper-Nickel Supplier – CuNi 90/10 & 70/30 Tube, Pipe & Plate

Short answer: HXSCO supplies copper-nickel (CuNi) 90/10 and 70/30 alloys as tube, pipe, plate and fittings — the marine and desalination workhorses that resist seawater corrosion, biofouling and erosion better than almost any other affordable alloy.

Why Copper-Nickel for Seawater

CuNi forms a stable, adherent oxide film in seawater that slows both general corrosion and the Metal Cavitation Guide that erodes pump and propeller surfaces. It sits beside our Copper Supplier, Brass Supplier и Bronze Supplier lines and is far more chloride-tolerant than carbon steel — a key point in Seawater Corrosion Guide and the Galvanic Series Guide, where it is more noble than steel but less than stainless.

Grades, Forms & Supply

90/10 (C70600) is the general marine grade; 70/30 (C71500) adds strength for high-velocity condensers and heat-exchanger tube. We cut and bend on the same lines as Copper Tube Supplier и Copper Pipe Vs Steel Pipe, certificate chemistry per Mill Test Certificate Guide, and finish following Copper Alloys Guide и Metal Surface Treatment Guide. For aggressive chloride duty compare Duplex Stainless Supplier и Stainless Steel 316 Properties.

Applications & Quality

Uses are ship hull piping, desalination, condensers, offshore firefighting lines and heat exchangers. We advise on insulation to avoid Galvanic Corrosion Guide against steel, add Cathodic Protection Guide only where appropriate, protect with Metal Corrosion Inhibitor Guide and inspect with Metal Ndt Guide before export packing. Часто задаваемые вопросы

What is the difference between CuNi 90/10 and 70/30?

90/10 (C70600) has ~10% nickel and is the general marine grade; 70/30 (C71500) has ~30% nickel for higher strength and erosion resistance in fast-flow condensers.

Why is copper-nickel used in seawater?

It builds a protective oxide film that resists seawater corrosion and biofouling and tolerates high flow velocities where steel would erode。

What forms of copper-nickel does HXSCO supply?

Tube, pipe, plate and fittings in C70600 and C71500, cut, bent and finished to order with mill certificates.

Does copper-nickel corrode in seawater?

Very slowly — it is one of the best affordable seawater alloys, though it can suffer galvanic attack if coupled directly to steel without insulation.

Is copper-nickel weldable?

Yes — it welds well with matching CuNi filler using TIG/MIG and clean practice; avoid carbon contamination from steel tools.
